Jens Boehm

Born in Chemnitz, Germany Jens was educated in Business and Management, Communications, Tourism, Transportation Economics and International Transportation Policy at Technical University of Dresden. Working for Deutsche Telekom and he decided to come to the UK to experience a new culture and further his prospects. After more than 3 years as Online Marketing Manager with TravelJigsaw in Manchester Jens took the opportunity to become a European Business Adviser for the Enterprise Europe Network, supporting companies to access European markets particularly in the Environment sector and ICT.




Andy Nugent

Andy graduated from the University of Manchester in 1998 with a degree in Computer Science. Having gained experience in a wide range of technologies and industry sectors he became an independent consultant in 2005 specialising in mobile software, working with various international clients including 3 of the World’s top 5 device manufacturers.

Anne-Marie Alexander

Anne Marie is passionate about the mobile industry and has been a strong driving force behind the success of the teams she has lead over her 20 year career. Working across a wide range of industry sectors her passion is derived from the knowledge gained and understanding from such a vast base of people and the working infrastructure.  She plays a fundamental role in developing future growth and providing vision, direction and leadership.  mxData’s vision ‘’Live information for a generation on the move’’ enables Anne Marie to continually improve both her surroundings and the business, moving the strategy forward in this very exciting time for our industry.



Garry Partington

Garry founded Mobile Monday Manchester, organises, and brings together all the elements needed to run Mobile Monday Events in Manchester.

He worked in the mobile industry since 1999. As CEO of Apadmi, Garry’s role is to bring new partners to the table and to enhance and build upon the company’s established strong customer relationships, whilst also ensuring that the Apadmi team is constantly focused on customer service and delivery.

Volker Hirsch

Volker is the Global Head of Business Development – Games for Research In Motion (BlackBerry) where he arrived via the acquisition of mobile social gaming platform Scoreloop where he was Chief Strategy Officer. He is also a co-founder of Blue Beck, a game and app development studio.

Volker has been in mobile since 1999. He worked with music artists like Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg and Duran Duran on the world’s first mobile artist services and has been in the mobile games sector almost from its start with Mforma/Hands-On Mobile and Connect2Media (which he co-founded) where he oversaw licensing and corporate development and worked with Marvel, Hasbro, Activision, LEGO, BMW, Konami, the World Poker Tour, Universal, Viacom, and many developers along the way. He also struck more than 200 distribution deals with carriers and OEM around the world.
